About the hydrogen fuel car program

Our hydrogen bus program is a great success—but most of us drive cars, not buses. That’s why Air Products is leasing a hydrogen-powered Chevrolet Equinox. We want to show the many benefits of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

We’re leasing the car as an extension of Chevy's Project Driveway Program, which offers the vehicles to individuals in certain parts of the country for use in everyday living. Since 2008, Chevy has made a test fleet of fuel cell vehicles available in New York City; Washington, DC; and Southern California. Drivers in those areas have access to hydrogen fueling stations like the one on the Air Products campus in Allentown, Pa.

Look for the hydrogen car on and around the Air Products campus and at community outreach events throughout the region.
